"Compatible and refillable cartridge compatibility and annoying operational problems spoil what could have been a decent small office printer!"
The Epson Workforce WF-2750 DWF All-in-One Inkjet Printer with Fax offers scan, copy, print, and fax facilities. It has been designed with the intention to be used in small offices, providing medium duty general printing duties (3000 sheets per month).
On first inspection the WF2750 ticks all of the boxes with regards to providing a small office printing solution. It features an (ADF) automatic document feeder for scanning multiple documents, an enlarged front loading A4 paper tray (150 sheet capacity), comprehensive connectivity via WiFi, WiFi Direct, Apple AirPrint , Google Cloud Print, and USB. In addition, there is a colour touchscreen, and memory card ports.
Worryingly, the Epson Workforce WF-2750DWF only scores 3.3/5 on Amazon, mainly due to various operational problems. These include paper jams, lost WiFi connections, poor build quality, slow printing, noisy operation, and the small LCD screen being hard to read. If you are considering buying this machine, I recommend you first read these comments, then base your opinion on the general consensus.
The Workforce WF2750DWF uses the Epson 16 / 16xl series of ink cartridges. Sadly for the budget conscious user, refillable cartridges do not work with this machine. There are also reports of problems using compatible filled ink cartridges. Maybe this is due to a printer firmware modification on this particular model. Strangely, other printers using the same cartridge codes are not affected?
If you do not require an automatic document feeder, then we would recommend you take a look at the Epson Workforce WF-2510WF printer instead. It offers similar features but it's feedback reflects reliability and cheaper printing.
